Kelli Hernandez joined the Insight team in July 2009 as the Director of Development, opening a new office to serve the Phoenix area. With years of professional experience in the field of journalism as both a reporter and newsroom editor, Kelli brings a unique perspective to the field of public relations that proves invaluable to clients looking for maximum exposure. Her award winning copywriting earned her numerous awards including a Georgia Associated Press Association Award for Public Service Writing in 2006. Kelli is excited to have the opportunity to return to her first love serving clients in the areas of marketing, advertising and public relations. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s in Communication emphasizing in Public Relations in 2005 and with a Master’s in Public Administration in 2007 from the same institution. As an alumnus, she was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Student award in 2008 and was asked to serve on a Curriculum Review Committee for the university’s Department of Communication.
After spending five years in the South, Kelli and her husband Joe returned to their native Arizona in 2009. Joe serves in the United States Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and is stationed at Luke Air Force Base. The two look forward to starting their own family, but are currently enjoying their three rowdy pups Franky, Mya and Leo. Kelli enjoys soccer, the beach and spending time with family and friends.
